Enjoy the silence and
let yourself be enchanted
A special place in the ##Uckermark##
You’ll find our Wilde Stille (“Wild Stillness”) in Kleinow, a village with deep roots in the heart of the Uckermark, one of the most sparsely populated regions in Germany, and a true oasis for nature retreats. Whether you’re hiking through forests, swimming in hidden lakes, or losing track of time while watching wildlife – this is a place to escape the rush of city life.
Slow down in nature, reconnect with your surroundings, find inspiration with others – or simply be. That’s what this place is made for: a space that grows with you, and comes alive through community.

##The magic## of the place
At Wild Stillness, nature is not just a backdrop,it’s the heart and inspiration. We live and create in harmony with our surroundings. Well water, compost toilets, and recycled materials aren’t exceptions, they’re part of an everyday life rooted in mindfulness and appreciation.
What some may see as sacrifice, we see as abundance: simplicity, authenticity, and peace reveal their own beauty. We invite you to treat this place as an invitation to slow down, to feel, and maybe take a piece of this mindset back home.
Because the real magic isn’t in luxury, it’s in awareness of what truly matters.
##The Soul## of the Place
I’m Susy. Project developer, host, cultural mediator, and wholehearted part of this special place. My love for horses originally brought me to the Uckermark but I stayed because of the wild beauty, the open spaces, and the vision that could grow here.
Together with a great team, I built Kilombo Kleinow: a space for new ideas, creative processes, and real connection. Our site is not just a retreat, but a stage for diverse projects from dance and Capoeira workshops to international youth encounters and our permaculture camp, ‘Zaubergarten’. All this is supported by the Berlin-based association Capoeira Angola e.V., with over 30 years of experience in socio-cultural work.
What connects us is our belief in the healing power of art, nature, and community – and the conviction that a different, more conscious life is possible.
A Place ##Full of Life## – With Hooves, Feathers, and Fur
Our animals are more than just part of the farm, they’re companions, personalities, and often little teachers. Whether horses, dogs, chickens, or cats – every being here brings its own story and enriches daily life. Especially our horses that are key partners in our work with children and youth: mindful, honest, and healing.
We believe in non-violent, respectful animal care and the power of human-animal connections. Anyone who arrives here quickly feels: Kleinow wouldn’t be complete without its animals. And most who leave take with them a touching story – or a new view on life.
##The History## of the Place
Kleinow was first mentioned in 1375 as ‘Kleynow’ and has a long, rural history. Nearby, the Millstone Museum in Neu-Kleinow with its historical exhibits and reconstructed Slavic-style house recalls the region’s agricultural past.
Today, the estate is a place of encounter, writing new stories, hopefully including yours.
